Does anyone know what West Texas is running now? I remember reading about a donated
Pierce Contender tanker demo, and atleast one other donated used apparatus.
I also started a thread in the photo requests area if you have any pictures.
Thanks in advance,
John "Will" Schowengerdt.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

John,
While I don't know the answer to your particular question, it did make me begin wondering. If you Google Map West, TX. and look at the Fire Station Street View, you can see the tanker sitting out front, as well as a Flower Mound Engine, one of the White and Blue Brush trucks purchased by the state, a Flower Mound SUV, what appears to be an old tanker sitting behind the fence, and another Engine there for the coverage. Further, if you see the school. just down the road from the explosion site, there is a large scale command center set up. Lastly, if you look at the hospital there is another Flower Mound Engine. There are a lot of emergency vehicles all around town, apparently this was taken right after the explosion.

Looking at Google maps that's Flower Mound's reserve engine Ex E501. It's is seen twice, at the hospital and the station. The other engine is Little Elm rescue engine 621.
West VFD is also running a Spartan/Quality engine. Ex Stafford TX

Thanks for clarification, I thought it was 2 different Flower Mound Engines, I didn't look at the number of the one at the hospital when I posted that.
