Ah, the good old days at the MD state conventions at Ocean City when you had this kind of stuff going on and the parades lasted 5 hours! That's when they used to be fun. If you all haven't heard, "to reduce traffic congestion problems", the 2012 convention parade route has been shortened. It will still be on Baltimore Ave. but will only run from 16th St to 32nd St.

[/quote]They probably didn't need to do that because the parades have been getting shorter every year for the last 5 or 6 years. I think last year, the parade was over by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. By the way, when the parade gets to 32nd. where are all of the rigs going to go to? Of course, they are going to turn right on Coastal Hwy. and proceed to 48th St to the Convention Hall where they always go anyway. I don't see how it's going to reduce traffic congestion.
