Im sorry i but isnt that a spare unit it says on there Spare Flying Squad as well as another post said There are Both New Rescue Squad as well as Flying Squad Pierce Units

While on vacation in New Orleans this week I was able to get a few static shots of the apparatus in the area.



Nine Mile Point VFD is a department just south of the Mississippi River from NOLA.



Engine 798 is a 2002 Ferrara.

Squad 789 is a 1999 Hackney Rescue Squad.

Jefferson Parish is part of the East Bank Consolidated Fire Department. Station 11 on Jefferson Highway is the department's main station. It is named after Keith A. Boudoin, who was killed in the line of duty.



Engine 118 is a 2001 Pierce Dash 1500/500.

Anyone know of any upcoming deliveries for the metro NOLA area? Anyone know the inner workings of the city finances? Is the FD hurting for funds, therefore not buying much? The oldest front-line rigs are 1997s, so far as I can tell - and it seems like the entire department gets run hard.

Was down on Bourbon Street the other weekend....enjoying some adult beverages and listening to some great Trop-Rock music. It was "Red Dress Run" day in NOLA.



Engine 29 just had to bust through the party...picking up many tail- and side-board riders along the way...

I decided to take a little virtual road trip (thank you Google Earth) through NOLA and it appears Engine 15, Engine 33 & Squrt 25 have new Pierce Impels for anyone in the area or visiting. Let's hope they dont get hit hard by Isaac.

I was there about 8 weeks ago in July and stopped by Station 9. The ALF in the station was totally missing the diamond plate section below the pump panel and had a large dent in the body that stuck out there. Those trucks are run hard.

Does anyone know if the city has anything new on order? Their last new rigs were the 2009 Pierce Impels, correct?
