That appears to be Engine 6 from the City of Jeanette, Westmoreland County, PA. It served until about 1998 or so from what I can remember.

unfortunately things like this are usually word of mouth, as in "hey I saw this rig on the highway, or in a lot, or in service in xx town." did you check with the department that owned it originally? these rigs didnt have VIN's per se, as they were built before 1980, so the serial number is all you have to go on. if you have someone that could run the serial thru DMV you might get a hit on that. I have a pretty large Mack database for all the models post 1940, and I am still missing info, or picking up pieces of info here and other places.

good luck with your search! I would like to know where it is to update my database too!

This was part of a slide collection I bought on ebay earlier this year. Fmr IFD Eng 3 '75 Mack MB/Howe 1250/500. Unknown photographer. Possibly Duane Troxell.

Fmr IFD Trk 4 '75 Mack MB/Howe 1250/500/50' TeleSqurt. Soory for the crappy shot, but this was the only shot I could get before the film ran out in my camera back in the early '90s.

I always liked Tolland's Rescue........today's rigs just don't have the same character
