I haven't seen a post for these rigs!
Peter Pirsch & Sons Apparatus
|
My home town of Rochester NY had a one of a kind 1972 Pirsch 100ft tiller with 4 door enclosed cab i believe it was the very first to be produced. The truck was delivered to Rochester all white (Rochester had a hand full of white rigs for this time period) and was put in service at truck 2. It remained in service until truck 2 was closed in 1973 and went over to Monroe Ave to truck where it was painted white over red and remained in service till i believe 1984 if im right on my facts. After that it went into the reserves and was kept at Broad and Allen fire house (truck 10 & engine 4) till being sold.
while in the reserves the truck was designated reserve truck 12 i was told it was designated that number to represent the 2 companies it served.Truck 1 & 2.
There not being a seperate topic for Peter Pirsch apparatus, if do a search for Pirsch you will find two pages of topics with Pirsch apparatus in them.
