on another cool but sunny day (-43C with the wind), I photographed this 2013 Fort Garry Fire Trucks/FL-M2-106  1050/1000/25 for Dewberry, Alberta which si in Vermilion River County.  It carries serial no. M507.  Happy New Year to all!

Found this buried in the snow.  Looks like a new(to them) Heavy Rescue for Advocate NS.  Unable to  find a manufacturer plate for the body, as it was buried in the snow.   But it looks like it ran as a "Rescue 7" for someone, and is a walk in Heavy rescue on a 90's IHC 4900DT Chassis.

Nope....thats not Ottawa's....

FFDrive, I'm not overly familiar with Almonte rigs....where would I find a Serial #? Drivers door?

As mentioned by Bruce (ffdrive) it sure looks like an Almonte, but was not the Ottawa (ex Nepean) rig.  I will look into it, but it could have been Cornwall, Ontario's rig or a number of any other Ontario department's that ordered similar rigs from Almonte.

Ottawa - Ladder 24 - 2003 E-One Cyclone II

Looks a little different this morning, more of a big city feel with a bashed in bumper.  I was merely showing the Ottawa Airport Security team some flaws in their security perimeter fence.  It just doesn't stop a 40 ton firetruck when its sliding on an unsalted, glare ice covered roadway.  I would love to see any video of this one as we went through the fence, but more fun would be seeing the Lieutenant and I getting out of the truck and both of us going down on either side at the same time! It was quite the ice!  Rig will remain in service.
