I also heard that those rigs are going into service to replace engine companys... (the smeal's) to replace engines 30,21 ...(the Pierce) engine 11. any info would be great thanks.

Great photos, Shane! I hope you won't mind if I add a few to fill in some gaps in the older rigs and to add some newer units.

This truck is now and has been since 1997 at Redwood Meadows Emergency Services west of Calgary. We refurbished it and replace the steel body with an aluminum one and the Squrt that is on it went onto the E\-One Squrt above and we added a different boom from an old Syncrude truck.
Here is Calgary's latest delivery - Haz-Mat 17, which runs from station 17 near the U of C. It was determined another Haz-Mat unit was needed asap due to the number of research labs (oil companies and pharmaceutical companies) that have been built inside and bordering the U of C. It was built in 2009 using a 2009 Spartan Gladiator Classic LFD 20” RR, 3-Passenger w/ Command area in cab, 425 HP ISL Cummins, Allison 3000 EVS, SVI 20’ Walk Around Body with rear stairway access to roof storage, 8,000W Command Light. CFD’s other Haz-Mats are Walk-Ins. Spartan VIN is 9CO71563; SVI VIN: 748, Completion date of May, 2012 (SVI re-numbered their body based on the modifications made to it). This vehicle went into service June 9, 2012.
