A pair of 2014 Ford F150 4x4 pickups have just been put in service.  This one is Utility 1 and is used to run medical calls and run errands, etc.

Originating in Ocoee, FL is this 1996 Pierce Dash 1500/500/75' ladder run as Towns County Ladder 6.  Station 6 has replaced Station 1 as the county's fire headquarters.  As far as running calls, however, Station 6 is still a volunteer station while Station 1 continues to be at least partially paid.

Dave Organ, I do not have a picture of this rig in Ocoee.  If you'd like, post your picture from Ocoee here.

This former Towns County EMS ambulance has been converted into the fire department's technical rescue squad and dive truck.  It's a 2005 Ford F350/Taylor Made rig that is housed at Station 6.

My favorite, and the last piece photographed this day in Towns County, is this 1984 Mack MC611FC/Pirsch 1000/1000 that runs as Engine 6.  It carries job #PQ45 and #1154.

Next up are Warne, NC and Brasstown, NC VFDs.  I'd long wanted to shoot both of them and finally got lucky enough to do it.  First up for Warne is Engine 7, a 1992 KME P22 1000/600/55F pumper, job #KFT793.

Warne only has three rigs.  The brush truck, a mini-pumper, was out of service.  Their only other rig, Tanker 7, is a 2002 Int'l 4800/Central States FireLine 1250/1200 rig, job #12806-2.  I don't know where it originally served.

Like Warne in the previous two photos, Brasstown is in Clay County, NC.  First up for Brasstown is this 2002 Ford Explorer that serves as the "town's" QRV, chief's buggy, and whatever else happens to come up.

Last for Brasstown is this rig which the chief was quite proud of.  He uses it both as a brush truck and for standbys at the local dirt race track.  He designed and build the rig on a 2004 Ford F350 chassis.  It has a 300gpm pump, carries 400 gallons of water, 100 pounds of dry chem. and about six 5-gallon fire extinguishers carrying FireAde.

Moving on up the road a piece to the North Carolina Forestry Office, we find this nondescript engine running as Unit 935.  It is a 2007 Ford F350/Knapheide 100/200 unit.

Taking a step up is this NC Forestry rig, a 2010 Kenworth/Champion Carrier with a 2006 John Deere 650J dozer as Unit 9X2.  I think I see a model of it in my future.
