I had the unique opportunity to take part in the Ronald Reagan emergency preparedness drill this past Fall. Excellent training opportunity, also had the chance to get a few pictures at the conclusion of the event. As usual, not a lot of info; just a random mix of apparatus that attended. Input is welcome.
Starting off with the staging area.
Engine 24 from DC
"Green" patient transport bus also from DC
Medical Care Support Unit
Mass Casualty Unit also from Washington DC. Not sure where these units are kept.
Engine 105 from Arlington
MAB from Arlington. I'm assuming they're stationed together.
Couple newer engines from Alexandria.
Engine 209 is also in a newer Rosenbauer.
New F345 from Reagan
Older Foam 301...I personally think this generation of Strykers look better
New Mobile Command Post 300. Plans were for this unit to be kept at Dulles Airport.
Medical Care Support Unit 301 is this large Kenworth. Capable of treating 200 patients off each side of the trailer, a similar unit is kept at Dulles.
A variety of support units from the Airport were there.
EMS 301 is this Chevy Suburban BC 306 is this Ford BC 301 is this unique Ford E. Similar unit is found at Dulles. Not sure how MWAA does their Battalions...anyone able to clarify?
Variety of Fairfax county units attended. M405 is this Freightliner.
M411 is this newer International
Engine 436 from Frying Pan
Also from Fairfax county, E437 Last from Fairfax is this reserve medic unit
Couple units from Prince William County. First up is A503
Unit I was assigned to, A524 (being operated as M524) E504B is this International/Pierce
Few Maryland units. E553 from PG county
Brunswick A197
Montgomery county had a very impressive showing, 3-4 engines and at least 8 ambulances.
Last one from the show is M625 from Sterling Rescue in Loudoun County.
