Canada Eh?
Thanks to fellow firepicer, CdnFireTruckBuff, I had a great buffing week in sunny Alberta. The highlight of the week was this monster. Strathcona County, Alberta operates 2 of these "Boomers' with a 3rd on order. 2011 Crimson/FL-M2-112 1500/3200/28'

while in British Columbia, I was fortunate to be able to join up with fellow firepixers, Terry, fyregeek and vfrse3. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to photograph the whole Kelowna department as well as several others. Kelowna operates this 2010 Rosenbauer/Spartan Gladiator 1250/400/40/51' as E-1.

Over the next few days will be posting some of the new and old rigs Big Dave and I shot while touring Alberta the first week of July. It was a great week photographing over 100 units. I'll start with Lethbridge's newest pump, Engine 3, located at Station 3. It is a 2012 Rosenbauer FX, TME pump, delivered in March, 2012. 1500 igpm Waterous CSUC20 pump, 550 igwt, 50 ig foam A, Waterous Eclips CAFS system mounted on a Spartan Gladiator Classic LFD 24” RR, Cummins ISL9 400 HP, Allison EVS-3000.

In the Arizona Update column of the July/August Fire Apparatus Journal magazine, mention is made of Maracopa City selling 3 E-1 Typhoon engines, one of which made it's way to Sooke, B.C. Here is a photo of Sooke Engine 204, a 2006 Typhoon with1250/400/42 specs.
