I was able to accompany fire pixers Big Dave, Fyregeek, and VFRSE3 on their road trip to Kelowna, British Columbia and finally managed to photograph this truck, which is due for replacement next year. Ladder 1 in Kelowna is this 1991 Grumman Panther 1250/250/102' ladder tower.

We were fortunate in shooting several older trucks that once served in Kelowna. Unit 13 is a 1961 ALF model 912 PMO with a 1050 GPM pump and a 500 gallon water tank. This rig is now owned by a retired Kelowna fire chief.

This is one of two new units Cochrane, AB has placed into service. Engine 51 is a 2011 Spartan Metro Star 24" RR LFD, Rosenbauer Central (1750/500/30F-A)

The second new unit at Cochrane, AB is this 2011 Freightliner M2 106 2-door (300HP Cummins ISC, Allision 3000 EVS), Rosenbauer Central (Darley PSP 1050igpm/1500igwt). It operates out of Station 51, the main hall, as Tender 51 and was delivered in February, 2011.

When Big Dave finally made it to the Vancouver area, CDNARFF and I joined him to photograph some of the trucks from around here. We stopped off in Mission B.C. where we photographed a few trucks. The newest engine in Mission is this recently delivered Hub Spartan Gladiator with 1500/500/30 specs.

Engine 4 at Mission is this 2009 Crimson Freightliner M2 CAFS engine with a 1050 pump, 1000 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank.

The water tender located at the main station in Mission is this 1993 Firehorse Peterbilt with a 420 pump and 2500 gallon water tank.

Chilliwack B.C. has this 2005 ALF Metropolitan with Hub bodywork and 1050/500/40 specs. as engine 1-3.

A stop in Pitt Meadows B.C. netted us this 2007 Smeal Spartan Diamond quint. Q-1 has a 1500 gpm pump, 210 gallon water tank, foam tanks of 12 A and 20 B, and 75" aerial.
