DFD (I will assume Detroit, MI) ran this Seagrave 85' midship ladder. Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

I dont think this is a Detroit rig. DFD had 'Detroit Fire Department' on all thier rigs. Also, they purchased only 65' junior aerials from Seagrave, all had booster reels on the officers side

Scott,

Bob-Lo Island is located on the Detroit River between Amhurstburg, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. An amusement park was located on this island and it was serviced by ferries from both countries. The amusement park closed down several years ago. I believe the island was to be redeveloped for residential use. Not sure if that ever happened. As for the pictured apparatus, sorry I can't help.

Frankfort, IL Tanker # 717 was this unusual combination of a 1965 Chevrolet c/o chassis mated with a 2000 gallon Progress tank and booster pump. I've always been a fan of "big water" either home-made or custom built.
