This & That from Here & There
My last stop for the day would be the Blue Grass Airport. I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to gain access, but it proved to be pretty easy. The station sits inside the fence, but their employee's parking is outside the fence and they have their own gate. One of the guys was out by his car when I showed up and I was shooting the rigs a few minutes later.

On Monday morning, I met with fellow apparatus buff Greg Stapleton, Training Chief with the LFD, at his office at 6 AM. After a short visit, I added this rig, whose crew was there for a class. Despite the overcast sky and lack of sunshine, it didn't turn out too bad.

On the east side of town is the Blue Grass Army Depot. Station 23 is located on the grounds and security prevents access. One phone call from Greg got me inside. In fact, when I pulled up to the gate, the young GI said "Good morning, Mr. Organ". Must not be many Inferno Red Challengers in the area!

I picked the wife up back at the hotel and we headed north. As we approached Cincinnati, I remembered that Glendale had a new rig since my last visit, so we made a quick detour.

We arrived at my sister-in-law's that afternoon. The next morning, it was overcast and sprinkling, but I headed southwest towards a small patch of blue sky. When I arrived in Jackson, it wasn't raining, but it was still partly cloudy.

You could be correct. I didn't notice it when I took the photo, but it sure looks that way.
