Brush 608 has both a booster reel and a reel for forestry line that is not pre-connected. You pull off the forestry line that you need and hook it up to the pump.

• There is a small green “Wagon 612” that lights up just below the Roto-Ray warning light on the front cab.
  
  
• The silver storage areas just above the rear wheels – one holds two SCBA bottles and the other two extinguishers. These are on each side of the truck.
  
  
• See the helmets on the dash? There are two helmet brackets complete with a strap to hold the helmets in place.

the larger diamond plate box contains HAZMAT booms, water rescue equipment, and some other equipment.

Mike, if Loudoun still uses the "Wagon" designator, why can't the other NOVA COG departments go back to using that term instead of the stupid sounding "Bravo" designator?

That would not fit with COG's "one size fits all" narrow minded mentality and might force some people to actuualy use the grey matter between their ears.



Looks like VDOT will get some help trimming trees with the ladder rack on Wagon-12

The Training Center recently added this bus to their roster:



Bus 690

2011 Freightliner M2/Champion Bus Company



seating for 33 (including the driver) and a area in the rear to carry equipment, etc.





It replaces an older International bus (ex-school bus).

UTV 687 (or Utility Task Vehicle) is currently being kept at the Training Center although it appears it might end up being housed at a Loudoun County station at some point.



UTV 687 is a 2012 Kawasaki with the capability of carrying a stretcher in the back. It will be used for larger events.



I believe this might have been a grant purchase (Council of Governments?) because it has the same logo as the other COG purchases (Mobile Air Unit's, Medical Ambulance Buses, etc.). Can anyone confirm that, and if so, what other departments might have received them?





A special thanks - Captain Harne (a firepics member) was a great help in moving around these training center apparatus allowing me to get caught up on photographs of the training center roster. Thanks Captain Harne.

The Academy is one of the places I'd like to photograph eventually.

Here is one that I have been trying to photograph but always missing it because it is assigned to different stations.



Rescue 680 is the county's reserve squad, a 2007 Pierce Dash with job number 18808.



It was originally Rescue 603 in Middleburg where it had yellow stripes.



In November of 2010, it was transferred to Aldie station 7 where it ran as Aldie's first heavy rescue, Rescue 607.



Aldie received a new Pierce squad this year and the 2007 Pierce became the county reserve as Rescue 680.



I photographed R-680 while it was filliing in at Rescue Station 13 in Leesburg. My thanks to the crew for moving R-680 around for photographs (a very tight area for photos).
