For those of you that have shot Gamewell recently, you may remember their 1972 Pierce Snorkel ex-Lenoir, NC.  They got rid of it (sold to local private owner) and placed this heavy rescue in its bay.

This is by far the most special rig I've ever had the opportunity to shoot.  I'm sure many of you are aware of the Rescue Remembrance Project.  A group purchased the old FDNY Rescue 4 and Rescue 5 and turned them both into travelling memorials of 9-11.  To know that I was getting to touch a truck that was on scene at 9-11 and witnessed all those unimaginable events just gave me cold chills.  This particular truck was Rescue 5.  It responded to the Twin Towers with 12 personnel that morning and returned back with only 1.  As long as I live, it will be hard to ever find anything as special as this truck was to shoot.

Would you happen to have the serial number for this truck?  My department has a 1936 Ford/American LaFrance which is very similar in appearance.

Howe, I'm sorry, I don't.  I looked everywhere and couldn't find it anywhere on the truck.  Can't find it in any databases either.

In looking at Dave's recent posts about missing specs, I realized I have quite a few that I need specs for also.  If anyone can fill in any blanks, I'd be forever grateful!

I don't know anything period about this truck except that it's a Buffalo SD with a 500 gpm pump and a 500 gallon tank.  It has the pump number 3355.  It sat in Asheville at a concrete plant for years, then I found it in Cruso, NC a few years back.  It's now gone again to who-knows-where.  Anybody have any suggestions?
