Medic 44B was using an 06 Ford last, did that go into reserve or junk?

I would hope that since Medics 43B, 47B, and 50B are all running 2002-2003 Fords, that it is now a reserve or maybe replaced Medic 42B which, last I saw, had a 2000 Ford.

I like the look of Engine 13's KME. What's the upshot of how well the KME's have held up in Philadelphia (yeah, I know it will be subjective but...)? Also, was there an incentive for buying KME's since they are built in PA?

Thanks?

Yes there is a incentive for buying KME in state. It is a very nice incentive at that. I do not know the exact amount but I believe it depends on the sale value.

I asked the same question a while back, and this is the answer that I got;

Posted by cml0774 on 16 April 2012 - 07:27 PM in Apparatus Photos

In the 90's when PFD purchased the last bunch of Seagraves some where ordered with1500gpm pumps they where designated as pipeline cos they also had large hose manifolds and carried 1000' of 5" hose line. In the mid 90's all engines came with 1500gpm pumps. The only difference now is the pipelines still carry 1000' of 5" and large hose manifolds. The regular engine cos carry 500' of 5" and have mini manifolds. On the apparatus itself all pumpers have engine (except for the squrts)on them ;pipeline is its radio designation.
