Engine 811 in Frenchtown/MT is a 1993 Freightliner FL 80 with bodywork from Central States, 1500 gpm / 1000 gwt.
Engine 522 from the Northern Lakes FD in Rathdrum/ID is this interesting 2011 Spartan Gladiator with Rosenbauer bodywork. It has a 1500 gpm rear-pump and carries 750 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam. Cummins ISX engine, 550 hp, electric/hydraulic ladder-rack, Green Star idle reduction technology.
The Kootenai County FD is one of the largest fire districts in Idaho. With six fire-stations it covers a well-populated area along I-50.
Engine 401 in Coeur D'Alene is this 2011 KME Predator with 1500 gpm-pump, 500 water, 30 foam.
Ladder 111 from the Kootenai County FD in Post Falls/ID is this 2005 Pierce Dash with 2000 gpm-pump, 300 gwt, and 100' tower.
Engine 161 from the Lincoln County Fire District 1 in Sprague/WA is a 2007 International 7400 4x4 with Rosenbauer bodywork, 1000 gpm / 1000 water.
And Tender 131 is this 1993 Freightliner M 916 A1 6x6 with locally built body, 500 gpm / 4000 water. Chassis is ex-US Army.
With a population of 82000, The City of Yakima is the largest City in Central Washington. Truck 91 from the Yakima FD is this tiller-quint. It is a 2009 Spartan Gladiator with bodywork from Crimson Fire, 1000 gpm-pump, 300 gallon-tank, and 103' ladder.
The great crew drove me throughout the City of find a decent photo-stop.
The Yakima County Fire District 12 in West Valley operates this 2004 Spartan MetroStar with Rosenbauer bodywork, 1500 gpm / 1000 water / 20 foam.
West Valley 162 is this 2008 Ford F 450 4x4 with bodywork from the Yakima County FD shops, 250 gpm / 250 water.
Water 1312 in Prosser is this huge 1986 Ford LTL 9000 with locally built body. It has a 1000 gpm-pump and carries 5000 gallons of water.
Tender 1412 from the Benton County Fire District 4 in West Richland/WA operates this 2013 Oshkosh MTVR with Pierce Hawk Extreme body. It has a 1000 gpm-pump and carries 2500 gallons of water, 30 gallons of foam, and a CAFS-system.
Water 1422 in West Richland is a 1985 International F 9370 with locally built body, 500 gpm / 3000 water.
Rescue 1 at the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco/WA is a 2009 Oshkosh Striker 1500. It has a 1850 gpm-pump and carries 1500 gallons of water, 210 gallons of foam, and 500 # of dry chemicals.

From Walla Walla it was a short drive to Pendleton/Oregon. At this weekend the famous "Pendleton Round Up" took place here. This is one of the largest rodeos and native-meeting conventions in the US. The city was full packed and so was no chance for photographing some apparataus. So I concentrated on photograph many of the indians in their ornate and colorful clothes.
Some miles east of Pendleton is the large Umatilla Indian Reservation. Engine 2211 of the Umatilla Tribal FD is this 1996 E\-One Cyclone with 1250 gpm-pump and 1000 gallon-tank. |
