Rescue 1 in Victoria is a 2009 Spartan MetroStar, also with Rosenbauer bodywork.
USA-Canada Trip 2013

Finally for Victoria and for today, Engine 3 is a 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Rosenbauer with 1750 gpm-pump/500 water/ 50 foam and 60' ladder.
After 3 nights in Victoria we took the ferry to Port Angeles / WA. Our destination was the City of Chehalis, where my wife has an aunt. On a side-trip we visited the main station from the Bainbridge Island FD for a photo of their Metz ladder.
Ladder 21 is a 2002 HME 1871 with bodywork from General Safety. It has a 1500 gpm-pump, a 300 gwt, and a 103' Metz ladder.
This "sitting duck" photo of opportunity shows Tender 23, a 2006 International 7600 with bodywork from H&W. 1000 gpm/ 3000 water.
For the next 16 days my wife stayed with her aunt and I did a photo-tour, that brought me to Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Northern Oregon.
The first FD that I visited was the nearby Station 1 of the West Thurston County Fire Authority. This combination department protects an area south of the City of Olympia out of 6 stations. Engine 1-1 in Rochester is a 2007 ALF Eagle with 1500 gpm-pump, 500 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam.
The McLane-Black Lake FD protects an area west of Olympia. Engine 91 is a 2005 Pierce Arrow XT 2000/750/30.
Big water comes with a big pump here. Tender 91 is a 2005 Kenworth T 800W with Pierce body, 2000 gpm/ 2500 water.
Several Fire Departments in Washington operates large tillers with tandem-axle tractors. Truck 1 in the City of Olympia, the capital of Washington, is this 2011 Pierce Velocity 105' TDA.
For photos of the new Rosenbauer aerials in the City of Tacoma I contacted the Tacoma FD in advance. I met a very nice Batallion-Chief, who ordered the trucks at one shooting-point.
Engine 11 in Tacoma is one of two 2012 Spartan Gladiator with Rosenbauer bodywork, 1500 gpm-pump, 400 gwt, and a 68' RoadRunner boom.
Ladder 2 in Tacoma is a 2998 Spartan Gladiator with Rosenbauer bodywork and 109' Viper ladder.
You may notice, that I had a slight focus on Rosenbauer apparatus on that trip, this was for a special reason.
Great looking rigs! I just visited the same areas and didn't get a single shot! Thanks for posting!
Thanks again for the comments.
In the Seattle area, the E\-One Quest is quite popular. Engine 12 in Renton is this 2008 Quest with 1500 gpm/500 water.
Ladder 74 in Kent is another of the huge tandem-axle tillers. It is a 2007 Pierce Quantum with 105' ladder.
In Seattle I visited only Station 1. Apparatus photographing here is quite a challenge, as the station is located at a steep street. HazMat 1 is this 2005 Pierce Arrow XT.
On this day I had a steady battle with the clouds and some rain. In Marysville I lost the game. Engine 61 is a 2010 E\-One Typhoon with 1500 gpm/500 water, 20A/20B foam.
HazMat 61 in Marysville is not longer in service. It is a 1986 Chevy C 70 tractor, that tows an unknown built trailer.
The last apparatus from Marysville is Tender 65. It is a 2004 Kenworth T 800 with bodywork from H&W Fire Apparatus, 1000 gpm/3500 water.
