1975 Ford C/Young again
#1
Here we go again. I enetered the realm of owning an old fire apparatus back in December of 2005. I purchased a 1975 Ford C/Young 1000gpm 500gal. Young serial #75-657 from the Village of Silver Creek for a total of $600. From December 2005-April 2006 the truck was stored, I had had permission from the Pine Hill fire company in Cheektowaga, NY to reletter the truck back as their pumper. I hope that brings everyone back up to speed. Here is a pic of the truck the day I took it from From the Village of Silver Creek.

These next two pics meant a lot to me. I took the truck to the Performance Advantage Company to visit with Mr. Dick Young. The first pic I had the entire PAC team get a picture in front of my truck. Mr. Young told me the gentleman to the right of him with glasses in this photo did the electrical work on my truck.

Here's a picture of me and Mr. Young in front of my truck. He wrote me a message to add to my scrap book of pics for my truck. It says "Great job Roger! This really brings back some very fond memories. Thank you for your tender loving care for one of my babies. Regards Dick Young." I know there is another firepixer that will agree that we got the chance to meet a great man!

I've been meaning to post these pics for a couple of weeks. Just to give you folks an update I made some money doing a kid's birthday party just by bringing the truck down. I also won some money at the Town of Cheektowaga Independence day parade. Hopefully I can do well tommorow night up in Niagara Fallls at the Western New York Fireman's convention parade. These pics are from a car show at a friends house. The money raised at this car show went to cripled children at Childrens hospital.

Andy, you wanted a deck gun shot with the extension pipe <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> I should have taken the pic at a different angle though <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Here and there I will post pics of what I've done to the truck so far. Such as this steamer gate valve from Southline engine 2, which lives on with Pine Hill engine 2. I painted it red which previously was yellow.
