Auto Fire-Westview, MD. Sept. 18, 2013

I was hanging around the house on Wednesday when I heard a local 13 BOX go out for an auto fire just a few streets over from me.

As I'm closer to it than first due Engine 13 I decided to "respond" to it. As I drove through the neighborhood and turned onto the announced street, there it was:

In about a minute or so later Engine 13 showed up:

The Pipeman fixing his mask getting ready:

Moving in on it:

It looked like it was knocked:

When he shut down the line it flared up again:

The gas line was apparently burned and running down the street:

The Captain was going after it with a dry chem:

They finally got it out and were still trying to get the hood open:
