Northeast Station

North Station

the northeast station was closed due to mold problem & the north station was closed & a new station was built on north washington st near the central city exit of 309, i think the north station was sold to the library, the northeast station is still standing but in deplorable condition, ironically all stations in the city that were built to consolidate 2 stations are reduced to 1 engine houses, unfortunately, wilkes barre is down to 3 stations, with 1 currently only having a medic unit run out of with the engine browned out but the layed off 11 are due back second week of february which should put that engine active again

Engine 4

Mount Carmel,Northumberland County
due to a forced merger with #4 & #1 by the borough the #4 statiion is vacant, the engine 4 is currently housed at the anthracite since the new ladder doesn't fit. they are planning an addition on the anthracite but have to make it so the historicallook remains, the ladder is currently at the rescue company's building 2 blocks away

Haven't been to the area in awhile, sorry to hear bout the forced merger moving the "Pumpkin Engine" out of it's home.  Read some articles bout the Ladder fiasco, poor planning at it's finest.....
