Coudersport, PA has this GMC/E-1 4x4 pumper. Looks as if it has 2 pumps.

Because it does. Delivered with a midship 250 GPM pump, it was later upgraded by the addition of a 750 GPM bumper pump. Many years ago, when it was rather new, Don Loeb authored an article in Fire Chief magazine about this rig. Seems the smaller pump was adequate for car/grass/trash fires, but the larger pump and 4 wheel drive, allowed it to become an off-road water supply rig as well.

Item 2: Aultman, PA. located in very rural Indiana Co., the vfc had a firehouse blaze in the early 80's and lost everything - the 84 Ford L-8000/4-Guys 750/1800 was their 1st purchase after the fire.

We reshot this co. last June, and I'm happy to say that the "rusty" Chevy has been repaired and the hard-working Aultman vollies have also got a 05 Spartan/ Crimson 1250/750 that is very attractive in all white/ red stripe scheme.

The Morton Hahn was from McKinley Abington PA, Montgomery County station 200. One of two Hahns delivered.

The Aultman rig is truly unique for an American FD. I do remember some European rigs of the same style.

An update on the 2 Hummels Wharf rigs posted on page 52. The Tanker was just replaced at the end of 2006 with a new Mack Granite Tanker. I believe 4 Guys did the body work on the new Tanker. Also, the Mack Engine is still currently in front line service along with there other Mack Engine. They are both due to be replaced by twin Spartans. Looking back through this thread there are very few of these units actually still in service, so I thought it was cool to note the fact that these Macks are/were still running frontline into 2006/2007.

This unit had a 1000 gallon tank & a 500 gpm Hale pump.

55 foot snorkel boom. The unit was purchased used from the Paoli Fire Co & served as the Kimberton Fire Co.'s first Truck Company. The unit was equipped with a 250 gallon tank & 750 gpm 2-stage Hale Pump. The unit was sold to the Forest Lake Fire Co where it continues to serve as a front line fire unit.
