St. Louis Fires; 12-31-12 to 01-04-13
#1
Been picking up lately here on the south side! Thankfully we caught a break last night for my birthday!

I am going to post a few from the 4 jobs. very similar... all vacant brick, 2 stories or more, all going with fire on all floors upon arrival. Needless to say, the STLFD has been keeping me busy!

Here is the first fire. 4:30 a.m. on 12-31-12. 3300 Block of Indiana Ave. 3-Story vacant, fully involved, 2 exposures and problems from fire brands.

The next fire is from 01-01-13 at 1:30 a.m.. Chippewa St. and Michigan Ave. Pumper 32 arrives with heavy fire and smoke showing. This was only a 3 minute drive from home and a 2 hour defensive stand...

I could see when i arrived with no fire showing that this was going to be a defensive fire. the 2nd floor was pushing smoke and captain jacobsen of E-32 told me when they made the front door, they could see the whole basement involved and about 3/4 of the first floor with extension to the 2nd floor...

The 3rd and 4th fires were on the same block about 10 houses apart. around 9:45 on January 4th, fire alarm called out a fire in a building at 3304 Missouri Ave.. Same old story, 3 Story brick, fire on all floors, send the 1st alarm and go defensive.

Here is the last one for this fire and only one from the 4th fire. The 4th fire was at 3334 Missouri ave..

The Red Cross notified BC 804 Gerald Jorden of the fire while on scene. naturally me and the PIO already left and were almost home. we came to the conclusion that these dont look like "warming" fires... There was light smoke showing as i pulled in behind Squad 1 and BC 802. The fire was discovered to be in the basement. Truck 7 arrived and pulled a booster which was sufficient for the size of this fire. mostly consisted of an armchair.

Ten houses apart? Arson or coincidence?
