I sure hope you guys enjoyed the photos..I really like sharing them and I know I love seeing photos from other areas too. This was a very rare and good opportunity that I don't seem to get very often anymore

CFD still has 2 6-7-3 and 6-7-6 they are the smaller ones mounted on mid 70's chevy pick up chassis. The days of the big ones on the duce and a half have been gone a while.

I notice lately that CFD only deploys the towers for ladder pipe operations and not the straight sticks... I wonder if we will see the day when all CFD trucks will be towers?

Yes, the CTA Pink Line was shut down and power off on this section of right-of-way.

WHat is the staffing on CFD units? Engines, Towers, Ladders, Squads, Haz-Mat, and even the Battalions?
