If we published photos 2 & 3 we would hear about it from one of the chiefs.

No coat, no helmet, no gloves.

I cannot dispute those facts. And I for one do not want to see that individual injured in any way. (His mother would be mad as hell) With that said I take these photos as a hobby and let the critique happen on The Watchdesk.

Always cool to see our own members on the other side of the lens. Strong work to both Shoops.

Broke every rule in the book, but I'm not there to please people writing books. First rig in, other 3 on the truck went in and went to work. Somebody had to make an attempt with ground ladders. PPE was the last thing on my mind being outside. Usually id have been in my gym shorts when I drive.

More importantly, why is there a Seagrave logo on the front of that E\-One tower? Blasphemy! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

It wishes it was a Seagrave. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

But TWD seems to be DOA lately, so you'll have to go to Statter 911, where a pathetic group called "k.i.c.s" (keyboard incident critics;not commanders) will critique each scene.

Of course, these onerous individuals never id their dept., training, or experience. (Just ask Orbisonia)

Excellent photos. The boy did well, he walked away okay, maybe chilly with the short sleeve shirt on. As for the Seagrave emblem, Im glad it wasnt a bulldog on it. It isnt deserving enough.

IMHO, Lewistown still seems to be a lucky community in that its volunteers are still crewing rigs and being aggressive at working scenes. Many other places in PA. and elsewhere don't have this kind of turnout, for whatever reasons.

The "good saves" don't get reported enough, as was lamented in Firehouse Mag many years ago.

My local vfd made a good house fire "save" recently, but it was not photographed and the county media outlets did not report it... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Mellow' />

great shots!!! love to see a volunteer FD thriving in this day and age!!! Its been my observation in the last couple years no matter how good a save you have they still knock it down and start over.....I guess the homeowner makes out better in the deal and we like that. But, seems like all our hard work was for nothing and makes you wonder why we bust our buts for buildings that the insurance company's consider "disposable" anyway.....nice job, Brothers!!!
