At this point I had it...missed a lot of other nice shots but enough

was enough. I hope you guys enjoyed the photos and video..I really enjoy

sharing this stuff with everyone. All of the images are on my site

www.ksc711.smugmug.com

I really think there were some once in a great while photo  opportunities

at this fire..I was lucky to be able to get there and capture some of

it. I know the members who were there had a long night, and once the

initial excitement wore off I bet it was a miserable long stand.

Thanks for "riding along with me"

Some of the best fire shots I have ever seen! Nicely done!

Now, Please forgive the dumb questions I am about to ask as I am not too familiar with CFD Box Alarms..

A 5-11-2, I assume that means a 5th alarm or a 5th alarm + 2 additional alarms above the 5th??

Thanks!

What I post is my opinion only. Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me. If you like what you see with a photo or have a question, let me know.

Correct, CFD regular alarms only go up to a 5-11. Any alarms past that are called Special Alarms; e.g. 5-11 Alarm + 2 Specials.

Great set, Steve!!

It's amazing that it's going into day SIX of it still burning.  I heard that there are two levels of basements filled with rubble that flare up when the demo crews move away more debris above and that it was pretty densely packed so it was hard to get any water down into it.  Stubborn fire!

I added something interesting to my web page you may want to look at.

On the top of the page, below the video are 3 panoramas ....
On the left side of each there are some tools that allow you to

zoom in and out as well as scroll the panorama left and right. You will

be suprised how much you can zoom into the image to pick up loads of

detail as well as scroll right and left while zoomed in to that level.
Give it a try...let me know if you have any thoughts about it..I think it's pretty neat!!
