Quote:EAST WHITELAND FDI don't know when the picture was taken, but the picture of this truck shows the truck on Chocolate Avenue in Hershey, Pennsylvania Quote:EAST WHITELAND FD Dave, This is what I have on this piece. Was one of the first rigs I drove. A manual trans - was fun to drive. Would love to get a picture of whereever it ended up at. Bruce 1980 Chevrolet K/Pierce - mini-pumper, 400/250/20, 4X4 with a PTO pump, and front ground sweeps. The unit was purchased for $40,440. It had a 4-speed with a 350 CID engine. It also had a Rockwell Foam eductor. It was used as a initial attack piece when it was first bought, then as a field piece, and it was converted to a rescue truck a couple of times when the 1982 Hendrickson/Grumman/Howe rescue-pumper was out of service for a extended period of time. It was sold to a dealer in Texas in 1986, who sold it to a company in Mexico.

A little unrelated, but does the Centralia Fire Dept still function? I know most of the town is gone

I think there is only about 10 or 12 people in the boro. within the last year or two there was a, I think, Federal "judgement" enforcing the sellout/moveout order from back in the 70's. I would have to guess that at some point in the next couple years, Centralia will be a Boro with only streets and vegetation.
