Travis- Mill Twp. Fire Dept. Marion, IN.
Quote:Possibly ever something with a "20" in it?At one point, while it was Engine 43, it was being used as a spare while Engine 43 was using a spare Squrt. During that time Pipeline 20 was using it and put a large 20 on the front in duct tape. The first picture is Engine 43's KME serving as Pipeline 20 and the second is Engine 43's KME at Engine 43's station
Philly fire graduates it's first two classes from the academy since 2009.
Ladder Tower 28
2009 KME 100' Aerialcat This was the day after it was placed into service as Ladder Tower 22. The 28 wasn't changed to a 22 until a week or so later. Quote:Ladder Tower 28 Having lived in their local for almost 10 years, I would love to see this thing navigate some of the streets......The snorkel was always fun to watch. Thats one local where there should be a tiller.......... Quote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knxymZl0hEEmore like "RECALL 1"... guys in West Philly use to complain that Rescue would either be pulling up or turned back by the time the fire was out... The city at one time had 4 Rescue Companies. Sadly with the way the City Goverment and Fire Administation is.... you will NEVER See a 2nd Rescue, although there are times it is needed! Quote:Engine 125I know that the Pipeline units had large diameter hose. What make a pumper a Deluge unit ?

Quote:I know that the Pipeline units had large diameter hose. What make a pumper a Deluge unit ?The deck gun mounted above the pumps is considerably larger. There used to be 4 Deluge companies (DL14, DL24, DL41 and DL59) With the disbanding of DL14 and the delivery of the newest batch of KME engines that don't have deck guns, the Deluge companies no longer exist.
