Yes, this has been under development for the past year or so.  This will allow companies such as Toyne or 4-Guys, who are already using the Spartan chassis, to also have a Spartan aerial device as well.  The 75' will be the first one released  with more to come in the future.  Naturally, you can expect to see a fuss made over this at FDIC in a couple of months.

Taylor, Im sure you are right.  4-Guys has always used RK.

The Spartan ERV Aerials Div. (formerly known as Crimson Aerials) is located in the former LTI plant in Ephrata, PA.  Spartan is in the main building right across the parking lot from what is left of ALF/LTI that occupies the smaller buildings that all used to be part of the LTI complex.  Not much going on over at LTI but I believe they recently got an order to build 3 TDA's for Philadelphia. Months ago, ALF was about to be evicted from the buildings up there for not paying rent and had announced they were going to be moving to another facility, just like they did recently for the Summerville SC plant.  I guess they started paying their rent again since they are still there!

I've heard lots of scuttlebutt that a Toyne 75 foot quint will be on display in Indy with a Spartan ERV aerial...  They had been cut off by RK so had LTI to use, but I don't believe they ever built anything with an LTI since losing RK.

I can see Spartan ERV doing this as long as their aerial is being installed on a Spartan cab/chassis and not some other chassis (e.g. HME).  I'm sure they can use the business and they still build 2/3 of the truck.  In this case, after the aerial/outrigger assy is installed in Ephrata, the truck heads to the Toyne plant rather than go to Brandon SD to have the body installed.  I saw Toyne's announcement about their arrangement with LTI last year but didn't think a ladder was ever built for them.  There's very little activity going on at LTI except for work that comes into their corporate service center.  It's still a mystery to me how they continue to cling on!
