Flash suggestions?
#1
I'd like to get a decent flash for my camera. Obviously fire related stuff, but also useful for small close ups (plastic models and such) and general photography.

I have a Canon T1i.

Although it is a bit more than I was hoping to spend, I am leaning towards a Canon 430 EXII Speedlight. The Canon 270 EX II or 320 EX are more in the price range I was hoping for, but they looks quite a bit less capable than the 430. The additional $100 or so seems worth while. The 580 seems to be overkill for my needs with many features apparently not even available on my camera. I'm not even sure the 430 is fully functional on the T1i.

Open to other suggestions.

Also wondering what peoples thoughts are on used flash units from B&H? I was reluctant to buy a body used, but a flash seems less prone to issues, and would easily put the 430 within the budget I was hoping to stay under.

I really know very little about flash units, so any help is appreciated.

The 430EXii is a good flash.

Thank you. It looked like it covered the basic needs for an all around flash, but wasn't sure.
