Boring Fire in Oregon 3-25-2013

Around 0645 Gresham Engine 73 was dispatched to a residential fire at 22255 Borges Rd. in Boring.

Boring is a community in Clackamas county south of Gresham and southeast of Portland.



The Boring Batt. chief reported a 2-story farmhouse with smoke showing and fire on the Delta side.

Since there were several vehicles in the driveway and no one was answering the door, it was feared

there were victims inside, so he ordered two more engines to assist with searching. Portland Engine

29 and Clackamas County Engine 6 were dispatched at 0653. The Gresham and Clackamas Batt.

chiefs also responded. The first in crew reported fire on the first floor had burned through the floor

into the basement and through the outside wall.



Later, it was learned the family was away.


Not much showing by the time I arrived, 20 mins. later.
