While driving from Houston back to Dallas, I ran across this ex. Dallas Love Field crash rig and stopped to get a photo of it. It was a 1963 WLF Statesman, 1000-4500-unknown amt foam. She ran as Red 1. Don't know what became of her.
Station 31 was another dual WLF Station housing this 1970 WLF, 750-500 as Engine 31.
Dallas-Fort Worth Intern'l Airport had this 1973 WLF- Hi-Ranger, 75 ft snorkel with low profile cab running as Truck 24. It was in reserve status when I photographed it.
Duncanville, Texas had this 1978 WLF- Hi-Ranger, 75 ft, low profile cab. It was sold to a movie company.
Farmers Branch, Texas had several WLF's. Engine 1 was a 1975 WLF, 750-500. I photographed it in Dec. 1981.
Station 2 was a dual WLF station, housing Eng. 2, a 1970 WLF, 750-500. I photographed it and the Truck in May 1982.
Galveston, Texas had a couple of WLF's. One was this 1971 WLF, 1000-500, running as Eng. 100.
Eng. 103 had this 1973 WLF, 1000-500. It was unusual in that it had an overhead ladder rack.
Typo error on the last photo. It is Eng. 105 not 103.
Houston was also a big WLF customer from the mid 60's and through the early 70's. First up is Eng. 3, a 1969 WLF, 1000-500.
