I thought it might be fun to start a topic on lifeguard units. I would figure that with all the East Coast-ers on here, we could get some good shots put up.
I'll start with a few Southern California units.

The Colorado's were the most prevalent units I saw, with Supervisors driving Ford Expeditions. Couldn't get a good shot of one, though.

I managed to catch up with a few a couple of weeks ago...
Coronado has new Subaru Impreza units, replacing the Outbacks they were using:

About 20 miles up the coast from San Diego is the beach city of Solana Beach.
Here are a couple of units at their lifeguard headquarters.

There's a long asphalt ramp from their headquarters building down to the beach. This personal watercraft is on a trailer with beach tires which can be towed by the trucks.

Going through some old computer files, I came across these, taken circa 2003...
Coronado Lifeguard 3 with my son in the photo...I think this is one of the last "real film" photos I took before going completely digital.

I don't remember what beach this was taken on, but probably La Jolla.

Catching up with Coronado's latest units. Glad to see them back to Outbacks, instead of the last batch of Impreza's.
