CHESTER COUNTY RESCUE 67 1974 FORD F/STAHL DAVE BOWEN PHOTO Quote:This model of International was called the Loadstar CO (Cabover). The Cargostar (CO-1950) came later and was a wider cab and not quite as homely.Close. This smaller cab became the Cargostar in 1970. The new larger Cargostar cab and chassis appeared in 1973. It was much more used in the fire-service, specially in Canada it was very popular.

The wider cab was more proportionate and better appearing than its predecessor. In 1973, the new grille/headlight trim replaced the old Loadstar CO grille, further improving the appearance. (FRANKLIN COUNTY) I ALSO HAVE IT LISTED AS W J THEILE AS THE BUILDER. NOT SURE WHO THAT IS.I believe that Theile is/was a Johnstown area builder of truck bodies that also built fire apparatus back in the 50's - Dr. Stinebaugh can probably provide more details on this. |
