I'd REALLY, REALLY love to see pics of the 80 King Seagrave!!!!!
We now have one of these pumpers as a back up to our reserve Engine, IT is a good pumper but is just collecting dust in a airport hanger. We are hoping when the spring arrives to get it out and pumping and cleaned up, maybe I can get a pic then.

I think what they are refering to is SCFD Station 5 or as it is known now 65's. In approx the mid 90's all the depts in SHelby county went to a Somewhat unified numbering system, Memphis FD had engines 1- 54 and now 1-60 ... Shelby county had Eng-60 to E-69. Arlington had En-71 and Now SN-71, Collierville has E-81 to E-85 (L-85 Now) Germantown had E-91 to E-94 Bartlett had E-100 to 103 ( now to 105) WHen they run into SC. Millington has E-330, 335, 337 and now T-332. I think Mill. Has something to do with the Navy base numbers, please feel free to correct me if anyone knows!!!

We just received a new Dash Chassis 55' Snorkel remount to go to R3. There are 3 Pierce Arrow XT's on order, not sure how far along in the process they are - I don't even think they have done the pre-build yet, and there are 2 E\-One rearmounts being built.
As far as new tillers go, it seems every year we are told this will be the year to buy some, but it seems they always get bumped out. Who knows?? It would not suprise me if they never bought any or if we showed up one day and they announced that they have approved 6 of them - kinda the way things go. Sometimes seems like there is really no rhyme or reason.
Alll in all though, the current and last couple of administrations lately have actually done good by keeping a steady replacement for the fleet.

A couple of images of new apparatus on the way to the city -
New T12 @ E\-One - should be delivered within the month:

One of three new Pierce Arrow XT's being built by Pierce. This one slated for E30 (F54). The other two are rumored to be going to E14 and E20. The contract has an option for additional apparatus. Final inspection is set for the end of this month.
Has any one in Memphis area taken pics of the restored engines that the owner of Somner Express owns. Larry (owner) has several old Peter Pirsch that came from MFD. If anyone whats there information or location I will get it for you.
