Colorado Mountain Rigs
Quote:do you have any info on this one?
The photographer who took it doesn't get any apparatus info, so no specifics.  I'm pretty sure this was nearby Grand Junction Fire Department's Rescue before Palisade got it.  There's a buff out there I'll drop a line to and see if he knows.

I was in Durango for a friend's wedding, wish I would have had more time to get some rigs there.  The airport rigs are staffed by maintenance guys who are all FF1 and some volunteer with neighboring Los Pinos Fire.

Since the Salida/South Arkansas topic went to old topic purgatory, I'll post this here.

Salida got a new Engine 11 a couple of weeks ago.  The new rig is a 2013 Pierce Arrow XT PUC rescue pumper, which replaces the 1995 Pierce Saber 1250/1000, which I assume will now move to 2nd-out, replacing the 1986 Chevrolet Kodiak/Pierce Suburban 1000/750, which will probably be sold.

I didn't get up to Colorado this year, so I got one photo from a newspaper acquaintance and the other one courtesy of Pierce.

Finally got back to Colorado for the first time in two years and caught up with changes in Salida.

Salida's Engine 11 has been in service about a year now.

2013 Pierce Arrow XT PUC - I'm guessing it's probably a 1500gpm with either a 750 or 1000 gwt.

The 1996 Pierce Saber is now running as Engine 12, the second out engine.

The Chief got a new ride since I was there last.

Salida Chief 11 - 201x Chevy Tahoe (I'm not sure why they went for that color - maybe they just bought it off the lot).

I know - this isn't a fire apparatus, but I'm putting it in anyway... Stretcher

This was a grab shot, so I'm not sure if this functions as an EMS fly car or just a Supervisor's ride - I'm guessing it's the latter.
