Baltimore County MD
By chance does anyone know the make/model of the yellow wheel chocks that are mounted underneath E-57 in that photo?

Looks good. Sits kinda high though. I like the seat for the ladder operator.

The travel height of E57 is 12'-1". In comparison most rearmount platforms are under 12' in height. The reason the height on E57 is higher than normal is that Baltimore County wanted to stay with the 10" raised roof as found on the new pumpers. Had they elected to go with a flat roof or notched raised roof, we'd be looking at a much different scenario.

Has anyone seen a TDA with an RK or by General? I have never seen one. The drawing looks good and the spec appears well done, It should be pretty cool with the hot dipped ladder. It has a lot of Seagrave like body features/designs it appears.

It's been a while, but General built this truck for Bloomington, MN.

Not sure but they may have also done the body work for Bloomington's other LTI tiller, not sure on that though.

My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

Our county executive read the 2013 budget message and in it he reported that there are plans to purchase 12 engines 2 new trucks ontop of the one we have on order and 22 als ambulances. This will replace our last of our Freightliners and a good bit of our American La Frances. Which is good because our Engine 4 a ALF has been out of service since October awaiting parts

Yea I actually just heard that from Jeff today. That's great news! I take it Trucks 5 and 13 will receive the two new trucks since they are both old Seagrave tillers. And I'm guessing all the medics are being replaced except for the last batch of Freightliner ambos in 2009-10ish and plus M 106 & M 118 which are Internationals.

Medic 54 and 2 still has and older internationals too. Yes 13 and 5 . This is just speculation. I would imagine it will be. Engines 2 3 4 8 16 17 18 54 55 61 71 101.

I'm sure it was towed to Ky. Motor was shot in it and ladder has copious amounts of rust as well
