Small Outside Fire, Aurora CO 5-13-13
#1
I had my first day of Blue Card simulation labs today and just after I got home Engine & Brush 13 were dispatched to a brush fire in my neighborhood.  I cruised over for a look and found a 5 gallon gas container on fire along a residential fence.

I'm not sure on the cause, a teenager who lives there was in the yard watching it and there didn't appear to be any mowers or weed eaters around it.  I missed the radio traffic but the engine did request the arson unit after talking with the parents.

Here is a link to the dash cam http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/produc...rs&from=fn  It's on sale for a good price and well used by my department in the battalion & safety officer suv's.  I'm using a 32 gb SD card in it since I like to time-lapse my storm chasing trips, with that card I get 6 hours 51 minutes of record time in HD.  The IR is actually very good and the night time captures are better than any dash cam I've seen before.

The audio isn't very good but the officer on E13 told BR13 to drive over and take care of it on approach.  It's nice to see some aggressiveness in my first due company!
