6-21-13 SUV Vs Fire Truck North Las Vegas, NV
#1
Went out this morning to get a pack of smokes and a cup of coffee and came across this as I turned out of my apartment complex. This is going to set the City of North Las Vegas back a little as the guy in the SUV rear ended Engine 51. You can't really tell much from the pictures, sorry all I had was my Android Phone. I have not heard if it was a fatality accident and I did not see the members of the engine company in the area. I did see a chief officer from the fire department on the scene.

This is the scene as I parked my car in the complex and took a picture over the wall.

You can see that not much is left of the front end of the SUV.

When I drove past the accident I could see that the rear of Engine 51 was pretty well mangled but you can't really tell that in these pictures.

That's because you were shooting into the sun. If you went beyond the scene with the sun at your back it would be a different story.

I was trying to stay out of the way and thank you for the tip.
