Pierce 100th Anniversary Parade 7-13-2013
#1
Last Saturday, Pierce celebrated their 100th anniversary with a parade and plant open house.  It was a beautiful day for a parade which had 60 pieces of apparatus, both old and new.  Over the next few days I'll post some of the images I took of the parade.

Here are the first few:

The Jonesboro rig is a 1976 Ford C, and still in service! Jonesboro is in Mill Twp, in fact we run rescue and EMS in their town, as they only provide fire coverage. To say that the rig is still in service, you have to understand that they have a 2005 International/Pierce Contender as well that replaced a 1966 IHC. The Ford pictured above doesn't get used too much, however. Pierce has currently given them a 2012(or 13) Pierce Velocity demo to use while they have this truck, as I believe it is going to F.R.I. next.

Followed by a classic mini-pumper and new tanker.

That's all for now.
