GLIAFAA 16th Annual Frankenmuth Muster 7-27-13
#21
Quote:Then came this 1978 Ford F700 Hahn 1000 gpm 500 gwt pumper with a door logo that said Sedan Volunteer FD Sedan MN, or at least the owner thought so.  The data plate showed the rig as a FCP 10 with a pump number of 41143 and the chassis number of F70FVAH3151.  Any ideas?

Quote:Only two aerial trucks were at this year's muster which is unusual from the usual four or five that had routinely been attending. Here's the first one, 1963 Mack B95 Maxim 85' TDA ex-Wilkes Barr PA Ladder 6 #1481.
nice restoration job!

this came very close to being scrapped thanks to the former mayor.

Well here are a few more for today.

Next up were a couple of ambulances.  The one was a 1977 Cadillac Miller Meteor Ambulance that was impeccably restored.

The next rig was a new one at this year's muster a 1967 Hahn 1000 gpm 500 gwt  ex-Stony Brook LI NY pumper.  Looks, and pumps, like it just came out of service.

The next rig has been a part of these musters as far back into the '80's as I can remember, 1942 Mack E 45 S #1091 500 gpm 300 gwt ex-Fleetwood PA.

The '42 Mack was followed by this 1959 Ford F700 American Marsh #A940 500 gpm 500 gwt pumper.  Not sure where it served and the current owner is the fourth person to own this rig and didn't know its history.  Anyone else know?

Next up was an unusual rig for the midwest, a 1961 Crown 1250 gpm 300 gwt #CMD 21661.  Don't have any history on this one, especially how it ended up here.

The next rig in line was this 750 gpm total pumping capability Dodge.  1947 Dodge American 250 frt mt 500 gpm 300 gwt  ex-Dexter MI still owned by the Dexter FD.  The 500 gpm pump was their "city" pump while the 250 gpm frt mt was their rural drafting / grass fire pump.  Both pumps still function and the flathead 6 Dodge engine just purred as they were pumping all afternoon after the parade.

Next up was the only casualty of the parade, a 1937 Chevrolet General Detroit 500 gpm 200 gwt pumper.  It lost a water pump (and front bumper from towing).  It left immediately after the parade before I could get any more info.

Next up was this 1978 ALF Century #CE-17-6108 1500 gpm 750 gwt fictional Romulus Hts MI Engine 351.  The current owner couldn't provide me with the history on this rig, but he thought that it came from Harrison Twp MI.  Anyone else know?

This rig has been at nearly every muster since 1984.  It's a 1928 Ford Model AA Southern 350 gpm 300 gwt.  It still runs like a top.
