New subject matter- looking for pictures of truck innovations that show outside the box thinking.
To start, I've included a picture of Ottawa,Ontario Canada's 2013 KME. This truck features Reflexite over the entire bottom half of an all white truck. Our research showed that the truck should be outlined in reflective, the wheelwells should be outlined to show that its a vehicle, and large blocks of reflective are more effective that "cut up" or strips of material. We used Reflexite as compared with 3M because when cut it does not break a seal which holds dirt.
We refused to use lime yellow on the back chevrons because our firefighter wear lime for striping on their bunker gear (in our view, the same colour striping as your gear may take away from the visibility of a firefighter . We put the chevrons high so any firefighter that walks behind the truck will be sillouetted instead of camouflaged.
