Quote:Warrenton Rural FD,NC BFD1151, while I have no doubt that is the number of engines in a parade recognized by Guiness, years ago New Jersey had some huge parades at the conventions of both the NJ State Firemen's Association and the NJ State Exempt Firemen's Association. The longest parade I was ever at was at the age of 9 in 1961 when Phillipsburg hosted the 75th anniversary of the NJ State Exempts with the of march rolling past where we were at 1:30 pm and us leaving to go home 8 hours later with us missing the last 2 hours of the parade; that one reportedly had about 400 fire companies involved, each with at least one apparatus.
