Major fire 10-3 14 at Vancouver B.C.
#1
I was phoned by a friend and notified of a fire nearby my house. I managed to shoot a few photos of the fire before being chased away by the police. This was the scene as I approached the fire, showing the C-D corner.

The building was under construction and was near completion and was to provide assisted living units for people requiring some help. This building sits on the corner of two very busy main streets and created major traffic problems for many hours as Granville St., one of the affected streets, is a major transit route and the main route to the airport.

This was the view from the A side, which I managed to take before we were all moved some distance away for safety.

Great shots! Looks like it was a tough fire with the fences and all the construction equipment and supplies in the way. Was this a defensive fire from the start? Thanks for posting those images.

Nice photos. I guess they are not buff friendly if you got chased away by the police. By the looks of your pics it doesn't appear you were in the way or anything.
