The ALF Metropolitan that Cherokee Springs used to run as Engine 1 has been sold.  Does anybody know where it ended up going to?

When I shot the Pierce a couple months ago, the guys told me that it was in service at Station 2.  When did they sell it?

Dave, our driver said that they had sold the ALF pretty recently.  As for Station 2, those details are a little hazy.  What we know as Cherokee Springs Station 2 apparently doesn't house any rigs anymore, maybe?  Cherokee Springs and Boiling Springs have joined forces to operate Boiling Springs Station 2 as the "Mountain View Station."  Mountain View houses the Freightliner 4dr/KME engine and the LTI platform from Cherokee Springs, and a brush truck of some sort from Boiling Springs.  Not sure what all else is up there; we didn't get a chance to stop.  The driver at Cherokee Springs said that they plan to get another similar Pierce engine to house at "Mountain View" sometime in the near future.

FES is based in Sumter, SC.  They have built 5 tankers, 5 rescues, refurbed a rescue and an Aerialscope, and done numerous modifications for our department since 1995.

City of Myrtle Beach Fire awarded a bid to Safe Industries for 5 Engines, 3 months before Horry County awarded their bid. Myrtle Beach also awarded Ferrara Fire a bid for a 107 quint at the same time. Expected delivery of June 2015. MBFD will have 5- 2008 KME Engines and a 2002 Pierce 75 foot quint on the market in the very near future.

In the midst of the confusion about their ladder truck, American LaFrance gave this truck to Etowah-Horse Shoe to use as a parade truck.  It was mostly restored when they got it.  The only changes they've made are adding the "16" on the tool box and adding their name to the sides of the hood.  They plan to finish restoring the engine and drive it in Christmas parades, etc.
