I recently returned from another trip to Detroit, I came away with a few decent jobs. Unfortunately, I missed the really busy times by a week. First up was a second alarm in a block long commercial building.

The fire was located at 12066 Dexter. Engine 40 was just clearing from an attempted fire bombing of a second hand store down the street and caught this.

Ladder 7 and 17 both operated as these are the only two tower ladders left.

Last one. There was a very heavy smoke condition through out. These old buildings burn well.

The following night was slow until we laid down at the motel. Within five minutes they had two box alarms about 5 minutes from our place. Both in Chief 6's area. The first was a molitov on a front porch of McClellan. The second came in as an occupied dwelling only three blocks from the first on Cadillac Blvd. We arrived first due.
