all great shots but I LOVE post #9....AWESOME!
excellent images
Fantastic shots, but as one of the guys previously stated, #9 is top drawer!
Thank you gentlemen!!
Quote:Fantastic shots, but as one of the guys previously stated, #9 is top drawer! Yes, it surely is a great shot, but if I put that in a Press Release my Chief would be very upset because it shows firefighters just standing around - a big no no. Quote: And this is VERY close to violating Firepics Posting Guidelines, specifically: Firepics.net is a site for the enjoyment of those interested in the fire service. It is designed as a "buff" site, and because of this, no discussion of fireground tactics is allowed. Even though veiled use of editorial oversight is used, it is still critiquing. AND Flaming of any member, or public criticism of board rules will not be tolerated, and appropriate warning actions, including suspension and removal from the board will be taken. Negative comments and flaming are very close the same thing. I consider any actions that might discourage a member from posting to be covered by this guideline.
I've seen more than a few photos over the years that could have gotten a negative remark or two. I personally try to bear in mind that a photo simply captures a moment, and in this business very rarely represents the incident as a whole. Detroit is an entirely different animal that provides a photographer an opportunity that a fire photographer rarely gets as often as they supply. I appreciate the rules here that keep it clean . Having said that, one could almost set a clock to certain comments from some folk. sorry if that violates but I kept it broad .
Nice job with the photos Jason, looks like you did well out there.
#22 is my favorite, but I like them all. Thanks for posting those, good stuff.
