Yes, the New Freedom IHC/ALF truck came from the Henderson Fire Co. of Lewistown, Pa. It was replaced with a Mack/Baker 75' from FDNY which was taken into the Merger of Henderson FC and Fame FC. The company is now known as United Fire & Rescue.[/quote]
This rig now serves at the York County Fire School (as does the Ward LaFrance pumper from Emigsville that I think was posted in this thread somewhere)....climbed the stick about 20 times over the course of my fire service career. Quite a piece.... it has the International 549 gas motor in it.... after it has been run for about an hour (with the high idle only being used to move the ladder) you could boil water on the manifold cover. Not sure if that is normal or not, but when it sits... you have to have the engine cover's open or it will overheat very badly.
The earlier photo by "Hockeypuck" of Winterstown's (now North Hopewell-Winterstown, York County 45) 1935 Reo Speedwagon 500gpm pumper that the Fire Company prchased as it's first rig in 1955 from Strasburg, Lancaster County. found these 3 engines in a field on pa route 54 between danville & mount carmel PA northumberland county,ironically infront of these 3 was a restaraunt that burned to the ground under these 3 watch!!!!!

Couple of corrections; St. Thomas E18-1 is a Pierce, not KME. E18-2 is a 1995 model. In fact, E18-1 has been replaced by a 97 E-1 Cyclone II engine from New Franklin,PA.
