Around 1:30 on Sunday afternoon units were alerted for children who fell through the ice on a pond in the Lansdowne area of southwest Baltimore County. Two adult bystanders were alerted by the screams of the 4 kids in the water. They managed to rescue 3 of them and called 911. Several Dive Units from Baltimore and Carroll County responded and searched the water for more than an hour until they found the fourth victim. He was pulled from the water unconscious and taken to the hospital where 2 of them were in serious condition and 2 were listed in critical condition.

I guess the press was following up on it. It was reported in the newspapers and TV stations! It was the top news story on local and national stations.
