Dave,
Ridge Tanker 4, I photographed it before the rehab in 1992 and it had an FEU (Fire Equipment Unlimited) sticker on it. The local rehab was done by a body shop in Newburg, MD.

Aside from the previous correction to the county (Rockland, not Broome), it's a 67" split-tilt Lance chassis, not a Dash. The unit ID was "6-1500" (the number 5 on the side of the cab is an internal dept #). Pierce job # E3479-01, it had an identical twin E3479-02. After 22 years of service, she was retired in 2009 and sold to the West Fort Ann VFC in upstate NY, where she continues to serve as Engine 461. I had the pleasure of operating both rigs for many years, and they served us well.
Quote:HILLCREST, NEW YORK Quote:BAY DISTRICT Bay District Tower 9 appears to be a spartan chassis and not a ALF Eagle. Quote:MIDDLE TAYLOR TWP. The mini pumper body was on a Chevrolet 1 ton with a 454 and 4 speed transmission and was owned by Darlington VFC 42 Westmoreland County. Was red then refurbed in 1990 to white to match the other trucks. Sold in 1993 or 94 and replaced with 1993 Freightliner/KME pumper, to Middle Taylor who then rechassised and I believe put a new pump in as well. |
